Selwyn Township is installing 6 new Level 2 electric vehicle (EV) chargers! The chargers will be located at the Township Office, Ennismore Community Centre, Bridgenorth Library, and the River Den. The new chargers will increase access to public charging in Selwyn Township.

Funding Support

Selwyn Township received funding from Aviva Canada’s Charged for Change Program. The Township was one of seven communities to receive funding in 2023.

The Charged for Change Program is a $3 million partnership between Aviva Canada and Earth Day Canada to deliver electric vehicle charging stations for public use in under-served communities across Canada. Underserved communities are those that have less than the provincial average number of charging stations based on population size. The program covers 100% of costs to install electric vehicle chargers, to help make EV infrastructure more accessible and support communities in their transition to electric vehicle journey.
