Work to Begin in the Spring!

Accurex will be hand-delivering notices to affected property owners about the Strickland Street Watermain Replacement project. The notice includes information about timelines, potential disruptions, and contact information should a property owner have a question or concern.

As a reminder, the work will take place on Strickland Street between Queen Street and Prospect Street, and a portion of Prospect Street in Lakefield. The work will include new underground infrastructure (watermain), and new sidewalks and curbs to replace those that are removed as part of the construction.

The work is expected to commence in April 2024. The project has an anticipated completion date of August 2024. Working hours are expected to be 7:00 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work if production is lost due to inclement weather or other factors. Accurex will also be setting up their construction trailer again at the Lakefield Marina.

The road will be closed to through traffic (local traffic only).
